About Me

I am originally from Kirksville, Missouri, and currently reside in Fredericksburg, Virginia where I study history and historic preservation at the University of Mary Washington. My focus is on the conservation, digitization, and accessibility of archival records. I also have an interest in urban design, preservation of historic neighborhoods, and the adaptive reuse of historic properties.

I am a student worker for Special Collections and University Archives at UMW’s Simpson Library. I have worked on a number of projects, including the Mutual Assurance Society transcription project, the Aldie Mill Ledger digitization project (collaboration between Loudoun Museum, UMW SCUA, UMW HISP, James Monroe Museum, and Papers of James Monroe), photo and book digitization, and rare book inventory management. I also designed the VA 250 exhibit, which is on display at Simpson Library from December 2025 through December 2026.

I designed adaircohistorical.org for the Adair County Historical Society and Museum in Kirksville, MO. I currently act as the web manager for the site. I previously volunteered in-person from 2022 to 2024 and worked with obituary records and long-form transcription. I also wrote an article for The Adair Historian, which was published in January 2024.
